THM Sadaqa Group alhamdulillah has once again been given the ability to offer parents an extended outlet for safe, secure, interactive, and authentic resources for the purpose of academic homeschool instruction and assistance. Although, we use Academic Books by well known publishers this information is deciphered and broken down for content usage. As instructors it is our responsibility to uphold a consistent standard of excellence regarding our task of protecting our children from fitnah and errors. May Allah grant us and you success upon this path of education, Allahumma aameen.
Truly we are grateful that Allah has allowed this opportunity for us and you. We make dua that this effort will bring about the honest and upright homeschooling that is needed for our Muslim children to maintain a successful outlook on their religion, according to the way it has been revealed to us, and not by how it has been presented to them in the public school system, and the general society Allahumma aameen.
Enrollment in this program is for *advanced 5th grade to 11th grade students. All students who enroll for this program must be registered with their individual states as being homeschooled. At no time will THM Sadaqa Group take responsibility for filing the "Declaration of Intent to Homeschool Form." Submit yours online here https://www.gadoe.org/Curriculum-Instruction-and-Assessment/Pages/Home-Study-DOI.aspx . Be sure to make several copies for yourself and for the student's academic file for confirmation in shaa'Allaah
Your child is required to be present in class daily according to the schedule given. Each semester an "Attendance Record total" can be forwarded to the parent if required, as a confirmation of actual days completed. This should help you with the required submission of attendance forms to your state if needed. MAJOR CHANGE TO GEORGIA HOMESCHOOL LAW.docx does not require attendance for homeschool programs, but we do!
According to most if not all states, children are required to have (part-time or full-time status) up to 4.5 hours of Instruction daily with 180 days of school per year. However, the subjects from state to state may vary. The current subjects taught at THM for instruction in Academics are as follows and may exceed the 4.5 hours of daily instruction required. Students may or may not be enrolled for all courses:
In addition to these, some elective choice courses are usually offered in Islamic Studies Instruction. They include but are not limited to the following instruction:
Children who are enrolled for participation have the ability to enroll in courses available to fill the 4.5 hour limit needed and beyond that requirement up to 5 hours per day + an optional 2 hours for homework help) . We suggest however, if your child or children, are not beyond 6th grade that you as the parent evaluate the students needs to see what they can or cannot handle and we encourage you to push for success and seek refuge from falling into laziness Allahumma Aameen. Additional courses such as your "academic elective choice" may be of benefit to them as well. We suggest after evaluating their individual levels of comprehension that you then enroll them for additional Islamic Studies courses inshaAllah.
*There are many beneficial online participation groups specific to Youth studies in Islam. Request referrals when needed bi'ithnillah
Parents in need of Verification Forms or Transcripts can request an appointment on any Friday morning .
Jundub Ibn Abdullah al-Bajaly said,
“We learned iman (faith) and then we learned the Quran and it increased our iman.”
Abdullah ibn Umar said, “We lived during an instant of time in which one of us would receive faith first before receiving the Quran and when the surahs were revealed we would learn what they permitted and what they prohibited and what they forbade and what they ordered and what should be the stance towards them. But I have seen many men from whom one is given the Quran before iman and he reads it from the opening of the Book to its closing and he does not know what it orders and what it forbids and what should be his stance towards it. He is like someone who is just throwing out dates [i.e., he does not get any benefit from his recital].”
That is the manner in which the Prophet brought up his companions: Iman first and then the Quran. This is similar to what Imam Abu Hanifa pointed out: Understanding in the religion first (i.e. tauheed) and then understanding in the science (i.e. the shariah).
The beliefs must be corrected first, then follows all of the other aspects of the religion.

Parents are responsible for the purchase of any state testing documents
" The states of Alaska, New York, North Carolina, Georgia, Hawaii, and Washington have officially approved the PASS Test for purposes of state reporting."
However, these are the five most commonly used achievement tests. Each has a total composite score and subscores. It is recommended that you use the same achievement test each time you test in order to be able to compare the scores. Parents are responsible for finding out what is required in their individual state regarding testing requirements in shaa'Allah. Any assistance needed please call your local board of education.
Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS)
Stanford Achievement Test (SAT)
California Achievement Test (CAT)

Should this happen you will be informed regarding the difference and be charged according to that change. We have no control over the cost of the books or shipping through media mail delivery options, mashaAllah. Part-time students can upgrade to full-time status after 30 days of access to any program, whenever that option is available inshaAllah.

A copy of your documents can be mailed to us. Although we accept emailed documents; we do not recommend using email or fax to transfer documents with identifiable information contained within the document.

The FTSOnline Homeschool Program is not accredited. Having your child/children enrolled in an "accredited program" is not required for excellent and successful homeschooling. However, over the past few years it has become an issue for homeschoolers in the state of Georgia. So we advise parents who have students entering 11th and 12th grade to carefully consider the requirements for acceptance to some state colleges or universities in Georgia. You can discuss your options with the administrator before enrollment inshaAllah. Click here for a special update on joint enrollment policies.
If you would like to learn more about the process of Accreditation please visit: http://www.detc.org/acredditHandbk.html
Currently, there are no classes available for the boys in any age group ta THM Sadaqa Group. However,
Allahu Akbar, Allah has allowed us two benefits regarding this particular question. Yes, you can enroll your Ibn for online courses for Islamic Studies Instruction under the following two conditions in addition to what has been previously asked above barakAllahu feekum:
You may submit yours/child/children's first "sample of work" by way of email, mail, or fax inshaAllah; so that it can be evaluated.
Alhamdulillah, students who have been enrolled at THM Sadaqa Group over the last semester, for the past two semesters or for the year entirely can expect to receive a 6-week assessment in the next weeks to come to update you on your progress for Academics and Islamic Studies. The assessment will include recommendations in current studies for advancement or for improvement inshaAllah. Lastly, you will be given a suggestive attendance report for students who have been lacking regular attendance and are borderline (truancy report). May Allah grant you all continued success in your studies aameen.
What is a student portfolio?
A portfolio is an organized collection of a student's work samples. The portfolio may be confined to one particular subject area, such as handwriting, spelling, reading and grammar (usage). A portfolio is a tool for evaluation, reflection, and learning inshaAllah.
What is the purpose of a student portfolio?
There may be several objectives for using a portfolio, such as teacher-student-parent conferences, teacher assessment, and student-self assessment. When a portfolio is used for assessment purposes, conferencing plays a major role.
Who selects the papers used for the portfolio?
Both the educator and the student are involved in the selection of papers for the portfolio. The determination is based primarily upon the purpose of the portfolio and the specific entries inshaAllah.
When are the papers chosen for the portfolio?
Papers for the portfolio are chosen on a regular basis and should include both process and product samples (drafts and published papers). It is important to include enough samples of a students work to show progress over a predetermined period of time.
The handwriting portfolio should include a weekly sample of handwriting practice, functional or applied writing, and published creative writing using the writing process. If the date and an anecdotal note are entered on each paper, three weekly papers will provide sufficient samples to make an objective evaluation of the student's progress inshaAllah.
Who is responsible for keeping the portfolio?
THM Sadaqa Group, offers parents assistance with this process by providing continual 6-week or semester reports. If the portfolio is to become the major assessment tool for online college enrollment, it is imperative that it is kept in a safe and secure location, such as a filing cabinet or a desk drawer.
Some educators allow students to have easy access to the portfolios. While, others prefer that their use be supervised. Whichever method you decide to use, it is strongly recommended that students be allowed to review their folders at least once a week to monitor their progress and growth inshaAllah.
When are conferencing appointments scheduled?
During the week prior to the 6-week assessment and 1 week prior to the end-of-semester report students and parent will be given a scheduled appointment for conferencing (usually evening appointments, or weekends excluding Friday). If you miss an arranged appointment it will not be rescheduled unless there is an additional last minute cancellation (this is not advised).
Any additional questions about this process can be forwarded tot he administration or the current instructor. Barakallahu Feekum wa Jazakillahu Khayrun.
Alhamdulillah, we are very excited for parents who want to begin teaching their children at home. Providing structure, stability and consistency is a key component even at the start of our early years. However, THM does not offer an official PreK classroom for ages 0 to 5 yrs. This is largely due to the child's attention span. It is best that parent's homeschool to provide short burst of instruction throughout the day, exercising lots of play while introducing the objective. Allah knows best. You may visit our K3 - K5 course pages for suggested materials inshaAllah.
Visit us again when your child is ready for 3rd - 5th grade instruction inshaAllah for our K5 Courses for the Muslimah in academics and Islamic Studies. May Allah grant you success and keep you and your children's feet firmly planted upon this blessed dawah allahumma Aameen

Alhamdulillah, we try to keep things simple and less complicated. However, sometimes our wires get cross after reading so many things at once regarding a topic of interest. The contents above, is intended to act as an aide for you to get a clearer picture of what we have to offer. It is only a snap shot! You may want to ask a question that has not already been posted. If so, send your question to I have a Question in shaa'Allah and we will contact you as soon as possible, in the order of the questions received.
Example of Frequently Asked Question: What Curriculum Do You Use/Prefer?
We don't use government assisted programs or private institutions to teach our children (i.e. Calvert, K-12, or others) We do however, make use of the textbooks and technology that are available in the current system of the academic world. The choice of textbooks solely depends on the admissions testing and scores of the participant or students requiring tutoring. The source is vast to say the least.
