Children and teens who participate in the Reading Program can earn a variety of prizes, including but not limited to books.
Students of all ages are encouraged to read daily. You can receive a reading log in class, by email, from your library and earn points for hours read. You will earn 10 points for every 4 hours read, or every 4 activities completed. Activities include:
Watch a movie based on a book Make a recipe from a cookbook Visit a local museum Read aloud to another person Listen to an audio book (1 hour listening = one activity) Attend a poetry reading Play a board game Get a library card Attend a play Tell a friend about the Reading Program (1 Friend = 1 Activity) Review a book, CD, game or movie and turn it in Write a poem, short story, or play Write in a diary or journal Post your reviews online (one activity) Visit the Public Library Prizes: prizes include books, jewelry, eReaders but are not limited to that inshaAllah | |
