Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh

It is known in our religion that Allah permits the accursed shaytan only one pathway to the souls of the Son of Adam -- through the doors of whispers.

Allaah says:

"Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of Mankind," The King of mankind, the ilah (god) of mankind, "From the evil of the whisperer who withdraws, "Who whispers in the breasts of mankind, "Of jinn and men." Surah An-Nas

This whole surah deals with shaytan's whispering: the greatest evil other than the evil of our own souls. Accordingly, Allah has excluded other types of wickedness and devoted this entire chapter to the badgering of shaytan. In truth, he's included all kinds of evil in surah al-falaq, including the deception of Iblis.

Since shaytan's whisper is hidden from us, we are encouraged to take refuge with Allah and seek His protection from this evil enemy.
