Assalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh

Alhamdulillah, you have reached the first marking period for our three weeks of testing and progess assessment period. We are currently completing work in the third semester of school. The purpose of this testing series is to evaluate how much of the content you have retained over the past few weeks and how much you were able to achieve in comprehension of subjects given to-date inshaAllah

Each day for the next two days you will be given a minimum of three to six subjects to complete. There are not less than two questions per subject. Each question requires explanation of terms. Your answers should be given in full sentence structure. You are reminded that the question should be used in part for your answer (restating the question). Short answers are not acceptable.

Example Answer:

Q1: What are the four types of sentences used in the English language?
A1: The English language consists of four types of sentences. They include a declarative sentence which makes a statement an ends with a period, an interrogative sentence which ask a question an ends with a question mark, an imperative sentence which makes a request or gives a command an ends with a period, and an exclamatory sentence which shows surprise or strong feelings and ends with an exclamation point.

Once you have completed your exam for the day, you are instructed to complete other assignments due along with your notebook checkpoint.

Additional Information:
Check each answer for correct punctuation, grammar usage, and sentence structure before turning the paper in.

Your test submission is due the SAME DAY! Your Vocabulary Test should be handed in (Same Day). Don’t forget as you will receive a 0% as a final grade if all test parts are not submitted.

Any student missing portions of the exam due to absence or lateness will need to schedule a two hour block of (make-up) time afterschool on Wednesday or Thursday between 3:00pm – 5:00pm only. All missed or late entrance exams must be completed and submitted by Thursday at 5:00pm no exceptions.

Reminders:

Take out a testing notebook specific for testing only. Record your answers in the notebook or on the printed out test in case of lost files or other mishaps on the computer. Please read your questions thoroughly. Then, take a moment to think about your answer. Write down any useful ideas to use in your explanations. DO NOT WASTE TIME. USE YOUR TIME EFFICIENTLY ON THE TEST! You have one hour per section to complete each part.

Jazakillahu Khayrun
May Allah grant you success, Aameen
