Question 1 Answer:

Q: What is the definition of an “Authentic” Hadeeth

The scholars define what a authentic hadeeth is by 5 conditions that has to be mate in order for a hadeeth to be authentic

-3 of those things have to be mate and present in the hadeeth

-2 must not be present in a hadeeth

(3 things which should be present/mate)

1st of the 3 things:The chain has to be connected, every narrator has to have heard it from the person before him.

2nd of the 3 things: The narrators themselves have to be A'dil

3rd of the 3 things: The narrotors all of must have to very strong memory

(2 things which should not be present)

1st of the 2 things: Is a (Sha'dud), an abnormailty meaning: being different from everyone else,

Eample: an narrator can not narrate something that is different from which everyone else has narrated

2nd of the 2 things: Is (Al-ee'la) is a hidden defect that the hadeeth has, that it is not apparent,it is apperent only after looking into the issue.

So these are the (5) conditions of a Saheeh Hadeeth.

Answer to question Two:

Q:What does “Musnad” مسند mean?

Musnad has 2 meanings:

1st meaning: It is a type of book authored by the scholors, inside is the hadeeth of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم .

2nd meaning: It is a chain that has been connected to the prophet, the chain of narrators connect themselves to the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم .

Answer to question Three:

Q:What does”Marfoo”مرفوع mean?

Marfoo: mean the hadeeth is attritbuted to the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم .

For Example: someone said the prophet said this

Q:What does “Maqtoo” مقطوع means?

Maqtoo: a hadeeth that is attritbed to a student of an compaion

Answer to question Five:

Q: Which chain is an example of a chain that is “Hasan” حسن?

Answer (A) is the correct answer for number 5

(A- On Amr ibn Shuaib on his father on his grandfather)

B-On Yahyah on Muhammand on 'Alqmah

C- On Malik on Nafi on Ibn Umar

the chain that has Amr

shuaib ibn muhammad

abdulllah ibn adul ass is his grandfather they have no other problem with it which is hasan

Why is it hasan?

Amr ibn shuaib is not a narrater like the other narraters, his memorization is not as good and neither is his father

B- Chain of the 1st hadeeth in saheeh bukhiare

C- this chain is considered the most authinetic on Ibn Umar

Answer to question Six:

Q:What is the one difference between a hadeeth which is “Saheeh”صحيح and a hadeeth which is “Hasan” حسن

The 1 differecne is: Is hat all the conditoins are the same except that which has to do with memorization, this means a hasan hadeeth is just it's level of memorization, it doesnt meet the level of those that are saheeh ,it a little below of those of saheeh status

يَرْوِيـهِ عَدْلٌ ضَابِطٌ عَنْ مِثْلِـهِ مُعْـتَمَدٌ فِي ضَبْـطِهِ وَنَقْـلِهِ

(Yur'wehee Ad'lun Dha'bit an Meeth'leehe Mu'tama'dun fee Dhab'tehe wa Naq'leehe)

There's 2 issues in this line:

The 1st issue is the issue of: Al-Mu'an'an:

The 2nd issue is of:

Kaf (ك) means the same as meetholo/مثله meaning: like or example, here it means example which means giving an example of mu'an'an

it is something that that we see when looking at a chain it is who the narrater is narrating on, who he is taking his information from above him

Ka'an is translated as: “ Translated on
