A Short Biography of the Prophet(sallaAllahu alaihi wa salaam)

The Prophet(pbuh) was born on a Monday in The Year of the Elephant. His mother,Aminah, died when he was 6 and his father, Abdullah, died when he was 28 months. After that he went a lived with his grandfather, Abdul-Muttallib who died when he was 8. Then he lived with his uncle Abu Talib. The women who suckled him are Thuwaibah, slave of Abu Lahab, and Hafsah. As he gre older, he sold merchandise belonging to Khadijah, whom he later married when he was 25 and she was 40.

It was doing one of his retreats when the angel Jibril came to him. He migrated to Madina and lived there for 10 years. He had 3 sons, Al-Qasim,Abdullah and Ibrahim and 4 daughters, Zainab, Fatimah, Ruqayyah, and UmmKulthum. All of them died before him except Fatimah who died 6 months after he did. The Prophet made Hajj once and Ummrah 4 times. His Hajj is known as Hajjatul-Wida.

He commanded 25 battles and dispatched 50 or more expeditions. He actually fought in nine of the battles: Badr,Uhud,Khandaq,Banu Quraizah, and Ta'if. He had 11 wives Allah consummated his marriages with,Khadijah,Sawdah,Aisha,Hafsah,UmmHabibah,UmmSalamah,Zainab bint Jahsh,Zainab bint Khuzaimah,Juwariyah,Safiyyah and Maimunah. He concluded the marriage with 7 others whom he did not consummate with.

The Prophet had 11 servants, Anas bin Malik,Hind,Asma,Rabi'ah,Bilal,Sa'd,Dhu Mikhmar,Bukair and Abu Dharr Al-Ghifari. He has miracles like: There was an ewe who was very old and when he rubbed her uthhers she overflowed milk. The trees and rocks would greet him...a camel cried when he saw him. He cured a man's leg by just rubbing it. This is amazing and only something he could

do.

The Prophet left this world on a Monday at the age of 63 from an illness that lated 12 day before his death, some say 14. He is buried in the home of Aisha under the place of the bed where he died. Six months after, Fatimah left as well.

I have learned alot by reading this beautiful story of the Prophet(salahu alaihi wa salaam). May Allah reward for you for introducing it in my life, Ameen
