Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh Rabi`al-Thani 4, 1436/January 24, 2015 Surah Al-Infitar ayaats 13 - 19; Benefits 3 & 4
from ayat 16, where Allah (subhanahu wa ta`ala) says, "And they will not be absent therefrom." It made me think of a never-ending pain and suffering beyond belief. The tafsir states that Imam Kathir describes the meaning as "they will not be absent for even one hour from the torment." SubhanaAllah, even now when I become ill, I thank Allah when I am able to have some relief, some rest, or some sort of comfort away from the illness, truly it is a mercy from Allah and it makes you grateful. However, the punishment described here removes the slightest hope of any relief. Imam Kathir's statement continues, "The torment will not be lightened from them, nor will they be granted the death that they will be requesting, or any rest - not even for a single day." May Allah save me and my believing family, as well as the believers from this tormenting punishment Aameen. Saddiqua Muhammad Black bint Elijah | |
