Chapter 1: The Writing Process (prewriting, first draft, and revision)

Freewriting and Writing a Rough Draft

Free writing suggest that you write whatever comes to mind for a limited time period. Using Islamic resources of information from Qur'aan, Hadith, Seerah, History and Biography accounts. You will be provided a prompt. Write complete sentences if you can, but generally you can write whatever comes to mind and Allah knows best. Don't think to hard just write. "Free flow" or "Free writing" is just that, nice flowing thoughts. we will discuss more later inshaAllah

You will find the writing prompt used for this weeks class here in this section. Please write it in your notebook. Write your reflection (summary of your thoughts) about what is being said. After a week of free-writing you can pick a topic or start a new idea for writing your first draft inshaAllah
